GET INVOLVED > VISIT Us

BECOME PART OF OUR WORK IN GHANA.

Visiting students, residents and faculty are core to our mission to provide care, training and research.  And sometimes the best way to truly understand why we do the work we do is to see for yourself.

MEDICAL STUDENTS AND RESIDENTS

Medical students and medical residents at universities who are part of the AMPATH Consortium may choose a two-month elective experience in Tamale, Ghana. There, they serve alongside their Ghanaian counterparts, training together, providing care for a population of more than 8 million people, and engaging in global health research. It’s a truly life-changing experience.

For more information on how to get involved in student and resident programs, please reach out to our  Education Team Leader, Dr. Amanda Klinger. Our Ghana Visitor Manual also has detailed information for medical students and others traveling to Ghana.
