Medicine Team Leader, AMPATH Ghana

Dr. Claudia Leung, MD, serves as the Medicine Team Leader for AMPATH Ghana. She is committed to improving non-communicable disease care and health equity across the entire life course through her career in the AMPATH consortium. 

In particular, Dr. Leung is looking forward to partnering with local colleagues to develop and scale up non-communicable disease care in the Northern Region, and using human-centered design to co-create contextually relevant and user-centered care delivery solutions.  

In addition to serving as the Medicine Team Lead, Dr. Leung is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Population Health at NYU. She previously served as a Doris Duke International Clinical Research Fellow at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital through AMPATH Kenya and Duke University. She received her MD, Cum Laude in Scientia Experimentalis from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and completed a combined residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at Duke University Medical Center.
