Amanda Klinger, MD

Education Co-Lead, AMPATH Ghana

Dr. Amanda Klinger, MD, serves as the Education Co-Lead for AMPATH Ghana. She also serves as a hospitalist at Bellevue Hospital Center, a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine, and the Global Health Faculty Advisor for the NYU Internal Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Klinger is committed to providing educational resources and fostering the development of education between universities in New York and Ghana.

Dr. Klinger is excited to partner with our UDS-SoM and TTH colleagues to build a state of the art simulation center that will enhance clinical skills training for health professions students and the healthcare workforce in northern Ghana. She is also excited to promote bilateral trainee exchange programs between AMPATH consortium and host site members. Lastly, Dr. Klinger is excited to support UDS-SoM colleagues in their goal to grow as health professions education researchers.

Dr. Klinger received her MD from NYU Grossman School of Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine residency and Global Health in Internal Medicine fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
